GOOD LUCK CHICKEN

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil and fry the chicken breasts for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • When cooked, drain and sprinkle with the five spice powder. Cut into shreds and stir in the bean sprouts.
  • Cut the spring onions into shreds and add to the chicken mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cut the filo pastry into twenty rectangles. Spoon a little chicken mixture along the shorter edge of each one and sprinkle with soy sauce.
  • Tuck the sides over the filling and roll the pastry to enclose the filling.
  • Mix the flour with a little water to make the paste, brush along the edge of the roll and press to seal.
  • Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan and cook the rolls in batches for about 4-6 minutes.
  • Drain on kitchen paper and serve at once. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 teaspoons Sesame oil
  • 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 
  • 4 teaspoons five spice powder
  • 200 grams bean sprouts
  • 4 spring onions
  • 5 sheets of filo pastry 
  • Soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons plain flour 
  • Water, to mix
  • Cooking oil, for deep-frying 
  • Salt and pepper
