Preparation Method :
- Mix the wheat flour, ajwain, salt and water and make knead to smooth dough.
- Cover with the damp cloth for 15 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan and roast cumin seeds, add ginger, green chilli, potatoes and chicken and stir.
- Add the red chilli powder, amchur powder, garam masala and salt, stir well.
- Add a little water and cook for 20 minutes with covered.
- Add green peas and cook for another 5 minutes, on slow flame.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves and mix well.
- Once the mixture is cool divide into 15 portions.
- Preheat the oven to 200oC / 400oF/gas mark6.
- Divide the dough into a small balls and roll it with the roller pin and dampen the edges with water.
- Shape dough into a cone and stuff with peas and potato mixtures and seal the edges.
- Arrange the samosas on a baking tray and bake in the oven at 180oC for 30 minutes, turning them every 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with Tomato sauce.
INGREDIENTS
For the Pastry
- 200 grams wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon ajwain seeds
- ½ teaspoon salt
For the Stuffing
- 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 inch chopped ginger
- 3 potatoes Medium sized, cut into mini cubes
- 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon amchur powder (Mango powder)
- 2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 50 ml IDHAYAM Sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- 100 grams green peas
- 200 grams boneless minced chicken
- 4 tablespoon coriander leaves, c hopped
