BAKED CHICKEN SAMOSAS

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the wheat flour, ajwain, salt and water and make knead to smooth dough.
  • Cover with the damp cloth for 15 minutes.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan and roast cumin seeds, add ginger, green chilli, potatoes and chicken and stir.
  • Add the red chilli powder, amchur powder, garam masala and salt, stir well.
  • Add a little water and cook for 20 minutes with covered.
  • Add green peas and cook for another 5 minutes, on slow flame.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Once the mixture is cool divide into 15 portions.
  • Preheat the oven to 200oC / 400oF/gas mark6.
  • Divide the dough into a small balls and roll it with the roller pin and dampen the edges with water.
  • Shape dough into a cone and stuff with peas and potato mixtures and seal the edges.
  • Arrange the samosas on a baking tray and bake in the oven at 180oC for 30 minutes, turning them every 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with Tomato sauce.

INGREDIENTS

For the Pastry

  • 200 grams wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon ajwain seeds
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the Stuffing

  • 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 inch chopped ginger
  • 3 potatoes Medium sized, cut into mini cubes
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon amchur powder (Mango powder)
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • Salt to taste 
  • 100 grams green peas
  • 200 grams boneless minced chicken 
  • 4 tablespoon coriander leaves, c hopped
