POTATO CHAAT

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
  • Boil the chick peas until cooked, Drain and set aside.
  • Make the sauce by adding boiling water to the remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce over the potatoes and chick peas. Whip the natural yogurt and pour over the top of the sauce.
  • To serve, sprinkle with the ground spices and chopped fresh coriander.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams  potatoes
  • 200 grams chick peas, soaked overnight

Sauce

  • 100 ml boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons tamarind paste
  • ½  teaspoon ground ginger
  • 100 gram natural yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • Pinch ground coriander
  • Pinch ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
