Preparation Method :
- Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Boil the chick peas until cooked, Drain and set aside.
- Make the sauce by adding boiling water to the remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the potatoes and chick peas. Whip the natural yogurt and pour over the top of the sauce.
- To serve, sprinkle with the ground spices and chopped fresh coriander.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams potatoes
- 200 grams chick peas, soaked overnight
Sauce
- 100 ml boiling water
- 2 teaspoons tamarind paste
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 100 gram natural yogurt
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- Pinch ground coriander
- Pinch ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
