CHANA CHAAT

Preparation Method :

  • In a large frying pan, heat butter; add chillies and onions and sauté on medium heat till onion turns translucent.
  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder and Garam masala powder and sauté for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Mix in chaat masala powder, potatoes, Chana, salt, green mango, coriander and lime juice and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Distribute the chaat among 4 plates. Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 Green Chilies, finely chopped
  • 100 grams finely chopped Onions
  • 150 grams finely chopped Tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon Red Chili powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chat masala powder
  • 100 grams finely chopped boiled Potatoes
  • 200 grams tender green Chickpeas (hara chana), boiled OR
  • 200 grams brown/black Chickpeas (kala chana), boiled
  • 1½ tablespoons unripe green mango, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Coriander, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Lime juice
  • Salt to taste
