VEGETABLE BONDA

Makes :
15 Bondas

Preparation Time :
1 hour

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Soak the Bengal gram dal in 2 cups water for about an hour. Drain well.
  • Grind the soaked dal to a fine batter, adding the red chillies, asafoetida powder, and salt.
  • Mix the cauliflower, green peas, onion and curry leaves into the batter.
  • Shape the batter into golf balls. Heat the oil, when hot drop in the ball shaped batter and fry till golden. Drain on kitchen paper.
  • Serve hot with any chutney or curd.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams Bengal gram dal
  • 1 teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • 50 grams p cauliflower florets
  • 30 grams shelled green peas
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • A few curry leaves
  • 4 dry red chillies
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
