MIRCHI BAJJIS

Preparation Method :

  • Smear the cut edge of the chillies with salt and jeera powder and set aside.
  • In a bowl mix besan with salt and a pinch of baking soda and mix to make a thick batter.
  • In a deep frying dish heat oil.
  • Dip each slit chilli in the besan batter and release in the hot oil; deep fry on medium heat till golden brown, drain oil and remove from oil.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 Chillies (Rinsed, dried, Slit lengthwise, keeping the stalk)
  • 200 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil for deep frying 
  • 2 teaspoon cumin powder 
  • 150 grams Besan 
  • Salt for besan batter to taste
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • Salt for chillies to taste
