Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a large non-stick saucepan. Add the asafoetida and seeds, and fry for about half a minute.
- Then add the curry leaves, lentils and peanuts, fry for another half a minute.
- Add the cabbage and adjust seasoning with salt, stir-fry for 10-12 minutes. The cabbage should be wilted, but firm to bite.

- Large head of cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon skinned and split black gram, picked over and washed
- 1 teaspoon brown mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon nigella seeds
- Few fresh curry leaves
- Salt to taste
