MIXED FRUIT SALAD

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Core the apples, cut in half and then slice thinly. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the apples immediately to prevent discolouration.
  • Peel the oranges and separate into segments. Cut each segment in half, removing any pips. Cut the cucumber in half lengthways and slice thinly.
  • Prepare the remaining fruit and vegetables as required and place with the other salad ingredients in a bowl.
  • For the dressing, simply combine the chopped coriander and mint, chillies, chaat masala, salt and remaining lemon juice. Toss the salad in the dressing and serve chilled.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium-sized apples
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 medium-sized oranges
  • 2 medium-sized cucumber
  • 20 seedless green grapes, halved
  • 20 seedless black grapes, halved
  • 4 medium-size tomatoes, seeded and cut into strips
  • 2 medium-size green pepper, seeded and cut into strips
  • 4 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 50 grams fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 50 grams fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
