SMOKED ONION AND TOMATO RAITA

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Add the chopped onion, tomato, pepper, cloves and salt to the whisked yogurt and mix.
  • Heat a charcoal piece over the flame till it becomes flaming red in most parts.
  • Place the charcoal in a steel or brass katori (a small bowl), put it in the centre of the yogurt relish and cover for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the cover. Transfer to a nice serving bowl and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 50 grams tomato, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon peppercorns, crushed
  • 500 grams yogurt, whisked
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves, crushed
  • A piece of charcoal
  • Salt, to taste
