Preparation Method :
- Mix the gram flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Whisk into a smooth batter with a little water.
- Heat the oil in a pan; pour spoonful of batter through a slotted spoon to form small granules.
- Fry until crisp and golden. Remove and drain the excess oil. Repeat till all the batter is used.
- Transfer the gram flour granules in a bowl containing warm water. When the granules turn soft, squeeze the excess water. Keep aside.
- Whisk the yogurt with salt, cumin seeds, red chilli powder in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the gram flour granules and serve at room temperature or chilled.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 litre yogurt, thick
- 50 grams gram flour
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- Water as required
- Cooking oil for frying
- ½ teaspoon salt
- A pinch cumin seeds, roasted, crushed
