Preparation Method :
- Cook rice; each grain of the cooked rice should be separate.
- Chop onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves finely.
- Slit chillies into half.
- Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter; now add jeera, curry leaves, turmeric powder, green chillies, onion and tomatoes. Stir well and close lid.
- Remove and stir again; allow water to evaporate fully before adding chilli powder, salt and hing. Garnish with coriander leaves and mix well with rice.
- Serve with a mixed raita.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams of rice
- 500 grams of tomatoes
- 200 grams of onions
- 4 green chilies
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of asafoetida powder
- 1 teaspoon of chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon of mustards seeds
- 5 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of Jeera
- A few curry leaves
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Salt to taste
