LEMON RICE

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cook rice.                                                  
  • Chop green chilies fine.
  • Squeeze, lime juice for 2 tablespoons.
  • Heat oil, and allow mustard seeds to splutter; add chana dal, and fry. Now add curry leaves, hing powder, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Remove from flame and add the lime juice.
  • Add cooked rice and ghee; mix well.
  • serve with Lemon Pickle.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams of rice
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon of asafoetida
  • A few curry leaves
  • ½ teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of chana dal
  • 1 teaspoonIDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 4 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 2 teaspoon of ghee
  • Salt to taste
