Preparation Method :
- Cook the rice and set aside.
- Heat the oil. Add all the ingredients for tempering. When the mustard seeds splutter, add the green chillies, ginger and peanuts and fry for a minute.
- Add the rice, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
- Turn off the heat and mix in the lime or lemon juice.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams long-grained rice
- 2 green chillies, chopped fine
- 1" piece ginger, chopped fine
- 3 tablespoon peanuts
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Juice of 2 limes or lemons
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Tempering
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon black gram dal
- 1 teaspoon Bengal gram dal
- 2 teaspoon IDHAYAM Mantra Peanut oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 dry red chilli, halved
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida powder
- A few curry leaves
