PULAO RICE

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the ghee in a saucepan. Add the cardamoms, cloves and peppercorns to the pan and fry, stir for about a minute.
  • Add the rice and stir-fry for further 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the saffron and water to the rice mixture and reduce the heat. Adjust seasoning with salt to taste.
  • Cover the pan and simmer until the water has evaporated.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams basmati rice, rinsed
  • 500 ml water
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 3-4 green cardamoms
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2-3 peppercorns
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon saffron
