Preparation Method :
- Wash the rice, drain and set aside. Heat the butter with the oil and fry the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add in the whole spices and salt and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
- Now add rice, mushrooms and corn, continue to stir-fry for further 1 minute.
- Add the water and bring to the boil, cover and cook over a low heat for 20 minutes , till the rice is cooked.
- Let the rice stand for about 5 minutes before serving.

- 4 black peppercorns
- 500 grams basmati rice
- 3 green cardamoms
- 50 grams unsalted butter
- 3 cloves
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
- 125 grams mushrooms, sliced
- 120 grams sweetcorn
- 2 bay leaves
- 700 ml water
