KABLI CHANA PULAO

Preparation Method :

  • Wash and drain the rice, set aside. Heat the oil and fry the chopped onions until golden brown, lower the heat and add all the spices and salt.
  • Add the sliced tomatoes, the chick peas and the rice, and stir-fry gently, mix everything together.
  • Pour in the water, cover and cook on a low heat for about 20 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with fresh coriander.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams basmati rice
  • 6 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 100 grams  cooked chick peas
  • 700 ml water
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon ginger root, diced and crushed
  • ½ teaspoon crushed garlic
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon white cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, to garnish
