Preparation Method :
- Blend the coconut with 2 cups of warm water to extract 2 cups of coconut milk. Keep aside.
- Heat the ghee in a pan; saute the onion, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and green cardamoms for approximately 3 minutes.
- Add the rice and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the turmeric powder, sugar, salt, and the coconut milk. Stir well. Bring the mixture to the boil, lower heat, cover and simmer till the rice is cooked.
- Garnish with fried onion, cashew nuts, and raisins and Serve.

- Rice, long-grained, washed
- Coconut grated
- Ghee
- 1 medium Sized Onion finely sliced
- 4 Cloves (laung)
- 3 Cinnamon 1" sticks
- 3 cardamoms
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon Sugar
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Onion, medium, thinly sliced, fried
- 10 Fried Cashew nuts
- 20 grams Raisins fried on Ghee
