Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a pan; add the cloves and cinnamon sticks and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add the onions and fry till soft. Add the garlic and ginger; saute for 30 seconds.
- Add the turmeric powder and tomato; saute till soft and pulpy.
- Add the rice and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the chicken stock and salt.
- Add the chicken and bring the mixture to the boil. Cover the pan, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes till the rice is cooked.
- Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 grams Rice, long-grained
- 50 ml Peanut oil
- 5 Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon 1" sticks
- 2 medium sized Onions finely sliced
- 6 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 teaspoon piece Ginger minced
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Large Tomato, chopped
- 1 litre Chicken stock
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 200 grams Cooked chicken
