AMLA PICKLE (ARI NELLIKKAI URUGAI)

Makes :
1 Small Bottle

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Dry roast the asafoetida powder and fenugreek seeds. Powder and set aside.
  • Heat the oil and add the mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and chilli powder. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
  • Mix in the amla, salt and the fenugreek-asafoetida powder. Mix well. Remove from the heat, make sure not to overcook.
  • Cool completely. Store in an airtight bottle.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams small amla, deseeded and chopped
  • 40 grams salt
  • 85 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
