Preparation Method :
- Grind garlic, ginger, cumin, cardamom, coriander and green chilies to a paste.
- Add besan, curd, salt, chili powder, food colour and lemon juice to the paste.
- Transfer the paste to a big bowl and add the paneer pieces and mix well so as to coat the paste nicely. Add the onion and capsicum pieces and mix lightly. Keep aside till serving time.
- While serving, grill the paneer pieces and vegetables on skewers, keep in a hot oven on a greased wire rack. Keep in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Heat malai or cream in a clean pan on very low flame, to make it just warm. Add the grilled paneer and vegetable pieces. Toss gently.
- Serve on a bed of onion rings sprinkled with chopped mint, chat masala and lemon juice.
INGREDIENTS
- 225 grams paneer - cut into cubes
- 3 tablespoons besan (gram flour)
- 30 ml curd
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- A few drops orange red colour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 capsicums - cut into 1" pieces
- 2 onions - cut into 1" pieces
- 30 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
Grind Together To A Paste
- 1½" piece ginger
- 4 flakes garlic
- 1 teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
- seeds of 2 chhoti illaichi
- 2 green chilies
- 2 tablespoons chopped coriander
Other Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons thick cream or fresh malai - beaten well till smooth
- 1 onion - cut into rings
- 3 tablespoons chopped poodina (mint) leaves
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice, chaat masala
