Preparation Method :
- Grind the soaked red chillies and other ingredients with little water to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil and add in mustard seeds. Let it splutter, then add in grated onions and curry leaves.Cook till onions turn light brown.
- Add onion slices and coconut, cook for 5 minutes or till the onion turns soft.
- Add red chili paste and cashews. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add food colour, water and salt to the mixture, finally add the paneer. Mix well. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes on low flame.
- Sprinkle the lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams paneer - cut into cubes
- 150 grams onions - 75 grams, grated and 75 grams, sliced
- 100 grams curry leaves
- 90 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 50 grams fresh coconut - grated finely
- Salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- A pinch of red colour
- 2 tablespoon cashews - crushed roughly
Red Chili Paste
- 4 Kashmiri red chilies - deseeded and soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
- 1" piece ginger
- 3 tablespoons curd
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 3 cloves
- 6 peppercorns
