TIRANGANA PANEER KA SALAN

Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper and a pinch of turmeric on the paneer. Mix well.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add the paneer pieces and saute the slices till golden. Remove from pan. Reduce heat, add capsicums and stir for 1 minute. Remove from pan and keep aside.
  • Dry roast sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and dry red chili on a griddle till sesame seeds change colour.
  • Make a paste of roasted seeds and red chili with peanuts, ginger and garlic with 100 ml water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, let it crackle and add curry leaves.
  • Add grated onion. Saute until onion is light golden brown, stirring continuously.
  • Add turmeric powder and masala paste, mix well.
  • Stir in 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook covered for 5 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and salt.
  • Add paneer and capsicums and cook on low heat for about 3 minutes. Serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams paneer - cut into thin fingers
  • ½ green capsicum - cut into thin long pieces
  • Red capsicum - cut into thin long pieces
  • ½ yellow capsicum - cut into thin long pieces 
  • 60 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 tablespoons curry leaves 
  • 2 onions - grated
  • 1 tablespoon of tamarind pulp
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

Masala Paste 

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds - dry roast 
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds - dry roast
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds - dry roast 
  • 2 dry red chilies - dry roast
  • 100 grams roasted peanuts 
  • 1" piece ginger - chopped
  • 6 flakes garlic - chopped
