Preparation Method :
- Deep fry sliced onions to a golden brown colour. Remove from oil. Cool. Grind to a paste with very little water.
- Mix tomatoes, garlic, ginger with water in a small pan. Boil, keep covered on low flame until the tomatoes turn soft.
- Remove the boiled tomato from fire. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, grind to a puree and keep it aside.
- Soak water melon seeds and poppy seeds in water for 10 minutes. Grind to a paste
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil and add in the onion paste. Fry till golden brown.
- Add red chili powder, khus khus paste and tomato puree . Stir, cook for at least 5 minutes or until the oil seperates.
- Add milk gradually, stirring continuously for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Add shelled peas, garam masala and salt. Fry for 3 minutes.
- Add enough hot water to get a thick gravy. Cook covered till peas are done.
- Deep fry paneer cubes to a golden colour. Keep aside.
- Add the fried paneer. Boil, Simmer on low flame for 5 minutes till the paneer is heated through and turns soft.

- 250 grams small cubes of paneer
- 150 grams shelled peas
- 50 grams onions - sliced finely
- 50 grams tomatoes - chopped
- 3 flakes garlic - crushed (optional)
- 1" piece ginger - chopped
- 3 teaspoons watermelon seeds
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- 100 grams milk
- Salt to taste
