PANEER JHALFREZI

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the tomatoes and peppers into thick slices. Separate the sliced onions into rings.
  • Heat the oil in a kadai. Add the cumin seeds. When they change colour add the red chillies, ginger strips, green chillies and onions. Saute for 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the chilli powder and turmeric, then add the peppers. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the paneer and toss. Add the salt and vinegar and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato pieces and garam masala. Garnish with the coriander leaves.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium-sized tomatoes, halved and seeded
  • 4 medium-sized green peppers, halved and seeded
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 4 dried red chillies, halved
  • 5cm piece root ginger, cut into thin strips
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
  • 4 medium-sized onions, thickly sliced
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 500 grams paneer, cut into 5cm fingers
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 50 grams fresh coriander leaves, chopped
