KHOYA PANEER

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Grind green chilies, onions, ginger and jeera to a fine paste.
  • Fry paneer to a golden brown colour.
  • Heat the oil, add in onion paste, sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions turn light brown.
  • Add mashed khoya followed by the tomato puree with water. Cook on low heat until khoya turns light brown.
  • Add in red chili powder and garam masala and adjust the seasoning.
  • Cook on low heat till the gravy is thick and oil separates.
  • Add paneer, cook for a few more minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with some sliced almonds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams khoya (dried whole milk)
  • 200 grams  paneer (cottage cheese) - cut into small cubes 
  • 2 onions 
  • 2 tablespoon tomato puree
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • 1" ginger piece 
  • 2 green chilies 
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 200 ml water
  • Salt to taste
