HARYALI PANEER KOFTA

Preparation Method :
- Grate paneer. Mix paneer, cornflour, jeera powder, red chili powder and salt.
- Mix all ingredients of the filling together.
- Make 8 marble sized balls. Stuff a bit of nuts in each ball. Roll in dry maida and deep fry one at a time to a light golden colour. Keep aside.
- Cook spinach with ¼ cup water on low flame for about 10 minutes. Remove from fire. Cool, Grind with green chilies.
- Heat oil and fry onions to a golden colour.
- Add tomato puree and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
- Add ginger, garlic paste, salt,turmeric and garam masala. Cook for at least 2 minutes.
- Add spinach with measured water and cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Add paneer koftas,keep on low flame for at least a minute. Serve hot with tandoori parathas or roti.
INGREDIENTS
Kofta
- 100 grams paneer
- 2 tablespoon cornflour
- ½ teaspoon roasted cumin seeds powder
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons maida - to coat
Gravy
- 250 grams spinach (paalak) - chopped
- 2 green chilies - chopped
- 2 onions - ground to a paste
- 3 tablespoon tomato puree
- 1" piece ginger - crushed to a paste
- 6 flakes garlic - crushed to a paste
- 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
Filling
- 3-4 almonds - chopped
- 10 goldenraisins
- 1 teaspoon very finely chopped ginger
