- Grind onion, garlic and ginger.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add the ground paste to the pan and sauté till lightly browned, stirring frequently.
- Add potatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt along with ¼ cup of water and bring to boil.
- Simmer, cover and cook. When the potatoes are almost done, add green peas .
- Cover and cook till the vegetables are done.
- Add tomato puree, paneer and lemon juice. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot with Chapathi or roti.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 medium Potatoes, peeled and cut into thin strips
- 200 grams Green peas, shelled
- 100 grams Cottage cheese (paneer),cut into cubes
- 1 medium Onion
- 1" piece Ginger
- 8 - 10 cloves Garlic
- 2 tablespoonsIDHAYAM Sesame Oil
- 2 teaspoons Cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 200 ml tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
