Preparation Method :
- Combine onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili paste, tomato puree in a blender and grind to a smooth paste.
- Apply the ground paste over the meat in a bowl and marinate it for an hour.
- Then add the remaining ingredients to the marinated meat and mix well and leave it for 20 more minutes.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, add the marinated meat in sufficient water and cook with a covered lid until the meat becomes tender. Add water at regular intervals whenever required.
- Serve hot with crusty bread, naan or parathas.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams Lamb shanks (leg pieces)
- 2 large Onions, chopped
- 1 ½ tablespoon Ginger-Garlic paste
- 150 ml Tomato puree
- 1 ½ teaspoon Green Chili paste
- 2 tablespoons IDHAYAM Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 ½ teaspoon Red Chili powder
- 6 cloves Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Zeera)
- 6 Cloves
- 2 medium Bay leaves
- 2-inch Cinnamon sticks
- 4 Green Cardamoms
- 1 Black Cardamom
- Salt to taste
