MUTTON SUKKA

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the mutton to small pieces.
  • Add necessary water, turmeric powder and cook the mutton pieces in pressure cooker.
  • The mutton should not over cooked.  It can be cooked 70 %.
  • After the weight releases from the cooker open it and keep aside.
  • Heat a kadai / pan with oil and Add mustard seeds and let it splutter, then add urad dhal and red chillies.
  • Fry for 4 minutes and put in the mutton pieces.
  • Add salt, chilli powder and jeera powder.
  • Fry on a low flame, mixing now and then.
  • When the mutton's colour is changed to a dark brown colour when it gets dry, remove from flame.
  • It is a dry dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams mutton
  • 2 big onions
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons urad dhal
  • 10 red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons jeera powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Salt
  • 10 teaspoons IDHAYAM sesame Oil
