MINCE WITH POTATOES AND PEAS

Serves :

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onions and cook until soft. Add the spices and fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced beef with little water if needed and cook until very well browned.
  • Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, add the potatoes and salt to taste.
  • Simmer to low flame, cover and cook gently for 3-5 minutes, then add the peas.
  • Continue cooking until the potatoes and peas are tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and peas and stir into the mince mixture until well combined. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 225 grams small potatoes, quartered
  • 550 grams shelled peas
  • 550 grams minced beef
  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
