BEEF COOKED IN WHOLE SPICES

Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onions for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- Simmer to low flame and add the spices to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the yogurt to the onions and stir to combine.
- Add the meat and 2 of the green chillies to the frying pan and stir-fry the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the water. Cover, cook the beef and spice mixture for an hour or more, stirring. Add more water if needed.
- When cooked thoroughly, remove the pan from the heat and transfer the beef and spice mixture to a serving dish.
- Garnish with the remaining chopped green chilli and the fresh coriander leaves. Serve with Roti.

- 500 grams beef, with or without bone, cut into cubes
- 500 ml water
- 150 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 3 medium onions, finely chopped
- 150 ml yogurt, whisked
- 3 green chillies, chopped
- Fresh coriander leaves

- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole green cardamoms
- 4 whole cloves
- 6 whole black peppercorns
- 1 inch ginger root, shredded
- 5 cloves garlic, shredded
- 6 dried red chillies, chopped
