Preparation Method :
- Soak the tamarind in warm water for 10 minutes. Squeeze the pulp and strain out the juice and set aside.
- Mix well, the first seven ingredients in a bowl.
- Transfer the mixture into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat keep the lid on and let it simmer for 8 minutes.
- Add the coconut milk, salt and tamarind juice.
- Stir in the prawns briskly and let it cook till the prawns are pink and cooked through
- Turn off the heat and serve hot with boiled white rice.

- 2 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoon fresh root ginger, grated
- 4 tablespoons coriander seed powder
- 2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 4 teaspoon sugar
- 500 ml coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Tamarind size of a lime
