COASTAL PRAWN CURRY

Preparation Method :
- Heat oil in a pan and add onion and sauté till translucent. Then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies and sauté well.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well and add deveined prawns and fry for 5 minutes.
- Then add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, Garam masala and sufficient salt and mix well.
- Add tomatoes and sufficient amount of water and cook all the ingredients for 10 minutes with covered lid.
- When prawns are cooked, add coconut milk and cream and stir well. Cook by constant stirring until it starts to boil in medium flame.
- Remove from heat and transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan, ghee rice or steamed rice.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 large onions, roughly chopped
- 3 tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 2 green chilies, roughly chopped
- 1 sprig coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 400 ml coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons IDHAYAM Sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons cream
