Preparation Method :
- Add the meat into the bowl with yogurt mixture and mix well to coat the meat. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Add the meat to the pan and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes.
- Simmer to low flame and add the water. Cover and cook for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add the tomatoes and sprinkle with lemon juice. Simmer for a further 10 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and green chillies. Serve hot.

- 550 grams lean cubed lamb
- 500 ml water
- 150 ml Cooking oil
- 100 grams onions, sliced
- 100 grams firm tomatoes, cut into quarters
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
Yogurt Mixture
- 150 ml natural yogurt
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 inch fresh ginger root, finely chopped
- 3-4 fresh garlic cloves, crushed
- 2-3 black cardamoms
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon black cumin seeds
- 2 inch cinnamon stick, pieces
