MINCED MUTTON KURUMA

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the coriander powder, Jeera powder, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves in a mixer to a fine paste.
  • Grind 2 tablespoon grated coconut, khus khus and cashew separately.
  • Extract milk from the remaining grated coconut and keep aside.
  • Heat the heavy bottomed kadai/pan with 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • Put in the minced meat and fry for about 10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Remove from flame and keep aside.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed kadai/pan with the remaining oil.
  • Put in the ground coriander paste and fry for 10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Add in the minced meat and fry for another10 minutes. Remove from the flame and keep aside.
  • Heat the pressure cooker,add  onion, green chilli, curry leaves ,and ginger-garlic paste and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Now,transfer the minced meat masala to the cooker and  add chilli powder, turmeric powder, necessary water and salt.
  •  When it starts to boil, add  the coconut paste. Mix well and close the lid.Place the weight.
  • After a whistle, simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove from fire. Wait till the weight releases. Open the cooker, heat and add coconut milk .When it starts to boil, remove from fire.
  • Serve with Roti or rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Minced Mutton
  • 3 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 4 tablespoon Jeera powder
  • 2 inch cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamoms
  • 4 Cloves
  • 12 tablespoon Coconut, grated
  • 2 tablespoon Khus Khus
  • 15 cashews
  • 1 Onion, chopped finely
  • 2 Green Chillies, slit
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • Few curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 70 ml sesame oil
