MINCED MEAT WITH COCONUT

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the onion to very small pieces.
  • Heat the heavy bottomed kadai with 2 teaspoon of oil.
  • Put in the minced meat and fry it for about 10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Remove from flame. Keep aside.
  • Transfer the same to a pressure cooker and add necessary water, turmeric powder.
  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and keep the weight.
  • After 1 whistle, simmer the flame and wait for 10 minutes. Wait till the weight releases.
  • Fry the khus khus is small kadai without oil.
  • Heat the frying pan with the remaining oil. Add onion and curry leaves. Fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add the minced meat to it. Put in chilli powder, jeera powder and salt mix well.
  • Simmer the flame and mix frequently with a ladle.
  • When the colour of minced meat changes to a brown colour, add the coconut scraping and fried khus khus and Saute for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from flame. Serve it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Minced Meat
  • 2 teaspoon jeera powder
  • 2 tablespoon khus khus
  • 2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 10 teaspoon coconut scraping
  • Salt
  • 8 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 large onion
  • Few curry leaves
