MEATBALL CURRY

Cooking Time :
35 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • The Curry: Heat the oil in a non-stick saucepan and add the chillies and garlic and cook for 30-40 seconds.
  • Add the coriander powder, curry paste and water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 3-5 minutes. Stir in the yogurt.
  • Meatballs: Mix all the ingredients and form small handfuls into tight, walnut-sized portions and set aside.
  • Drop the meatballs carefully into the curry one by one. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through. Do not stir often.
  • Stir in the garam masala, fenugreek leaves and fresh coriander, cook for 1 more minute and serve.

INGREDIENTS

Meatballs

  • 350 grams lean minced lamb
  • ½ teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, seeded and chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander

Curry

  • 350 ml hot water
  • 2 tablespoon low-fat yogurt, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1-2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves, crumbled
  • Curry Paste to taste
  • A handful of fresh coriander chopped
