Preparation Method :
- Heat the ghee or oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 10 minutes until beginning to brown.
- Add the par-cooked meat, Balti spice mix and turmeric, and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
- Add the Balti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cream and almonds and simmer gently for a further 5 minutes.
- Stir in the coriander and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams cooked meat
- 50 ml sesame oil
- 2 large onion, finely sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 teaspoon Balti spice mix
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 400 ml Balti sauce
- 200 ml double cream
- 100 grams flaked almonds, toasted
- Fresh coriander, roughly chopped
