BALTI KORMA

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the ghee or oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 10 minutes until beginning to brown.
  • Add the par-cooked meat, Balti spice mix and turmeric, and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
  • Add the Balti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the cream and almonds and simmer gently for a further 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the coriander and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams cooked meat
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 2 large onion, finely sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 teaspoon Balti spice mix
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 400 ml Balti sauce
  • 200 ml double cream
  • 100 grams flaked almonds, toasted
  • Fresh coriander, roughly chopped
