Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a wok or large pan over a medium heat and fry the cumin seeds for about half a minute or until they begin to splutter.
- Add in the onion, red pepper, garlic, chillies and bay leaves and fry for 5 more minutes or until the onions have browned.
- Add the salt, ground cumin, ground coriander and chilli powder and cook for few minutes.
- Stir in the tomatoes, potatoes and fish stock. Bring to the boil and simmer to low flame for about 10 minutes or until the potatoes are almost tender.
- Add the fish fillets, then cover and cook for about 5 minutes or until the fish is just cooked. Serve hot with chapatis.

- 4 cod fillets
- 250 grams potatoes cut into small chunks
- 250 ml fish stock
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 1½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1½ teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 fresh red chillies, finely chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt, to taste
- Chapatis, to serve
