EGG CHANNA DAL DHOKLA SABZI

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Dhokla
  • Soak the channa dal for 2 hours and grind it.
  • Beat the egg.
  • In a bowl, Add chopped onion, salt, egg and grounded chana dal in it and mix well.
  • Make a thick batter.
  • Heat a pan, add 4 tablespoon sesame oil and pour all the batter to make a round pancake.
  • Once done, Turn over the other side to cook.
  • Once ready, slice into square pieces like dhoklas and Keep it aside.
  • Sabzi
  • Heat the remaining sesame oil in a pan.
  • Add bay leaves, cumin seeds, dry chillies. When it splutters add potatoes and fry.
  • When potatoes turn light brown, add onion, ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fry till it leaves oil.
  • Add water as required and boil. Add fried dhoklas and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add ghee and garam masala.
  • Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Eggs
  • 100 grams Channa dal
  • 2 large sized Potato, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 large Finely Chopped Onion
  • 4 Green Chillies Finely Chopped
  • 4 tablespoon Onion Paste
  • 2 large Tomato, cut into small pieces
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 2 Dry Red Chillis
  • ½ teaspoon Cumins seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala  
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 100 ml Sesame oil
  • Salt and Sugar as per taste
