BASIC CHICKEN BALTI

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan.
  • Add the onion and garlic and cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes until softened.
  • Meanwhile mix the garam masala with the remaining spoonful of oil and enough of the water to make a stiff paste.
  • Add this to the onions with the chicken. Mix well and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the water, reduce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the coriander and cook for a further 5 minutes. Season to taste. Serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kilograms skinless, boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 large onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoon Balti garam masala
  • Few coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
