BALTI STIR FRY

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium to high heat. Add the onions and garlic and cook for 5 minutes. Add the green chilli, ginger and Balti spice mix and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  • Add the shredded chicken and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add the vegetables to the pan and stir fry for a further 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked and the vegetables still retain some crispness.
  • Pour over the Balti sauce, mix well and heat through for 3 minutes.
  • Serve, topped with whole coriander leaves.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams boneless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 3 large onions, halved and thinly sliced
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 green chilli, chopped
  • 2.5cm fresh root ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoon Balti spice mix
  • 2 green pepper, deseeded and finely sliced
  • 2 large carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  • 4 sticks celery, thinly sliced
  • 150 grams white cabbage, shredded
  • 100 grams button mushrooms, sliced
  • 100 grams mange tout
  • 7 tablespoon Balti sauce
  • Fresh coriander leaves
