BALTI DRUMSTICKS

Preparation Time :
50 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium heat.
  • Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 5-10 minutes until the onion is softened and just beginning to brown.
  • Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes, turning from time to time, until it is lightly browned all round.
  • Add the Balti sauce, peppers and sweetcorn and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add the garam masala and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
  • Add a little water, but the sauce should be quite thick. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 small chicken drumsticks, skinned
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 2 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 cm fresh root ginger, grated
  • 200 ml Balti sauce
  • 2 small red pepper, seeded and diced
  • 2 small green pepper, seeded and diced
  • 2 small can sweetcorn, drained
  • 2 tablespoon Balti garam masala
