MADRAS-STYLE BEEF

Cooking Time :
1 hour 30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the vindaloo paste and keep together.
  • Finely chop the onion and cook in the ghee until quite dark in color. Add the beef and cook until brown.
  • Add water to cover, partially cover the pan and cook for 40 minutes, then uncover and cook until the meat is tender and the sauce well reduced.
  • Serve garnished with the almonds. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ kg braising beef, cubed 
  • 6 tablespoons vindaloo paste (to taste)
  • 2 large onions 
  • 200 grams ghee
  • 3 tablespoons toasted flaked almonds
