CORNMEAL FLATBREAD

Preparation Method :

Combine cornmeal flour and salt in a large deep platter and mix well.
Add sufficient amount of warm water to the flour and knead well to make soft dough.
Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
Roll out each portion into a medium sized roti between the folds of a greased plastic sheet. 5-inch disc (roti) on a lightly floured surface.
Heat a griddle (tawa) over medium heat and cook the roti on one side until half done and turn over.
Brush with clarified butter and keep turning the roti till crisp and golden on both sides.
Serve hot with a dollop of clarified butter along with Sarson da Saag.

400 grams cornmeal (makki ka atta)
Salt to taste
Clarified butter (ghee) as required
