Preparation Method :
- Knead the refined flour with enough water and oil into a soft dough. Divide the dough equally into 15 portions.
- Take a portion, make a hollow in the centre and fill with the green gram mixture. Seal the filling inside. Repeat with the other portions.
- Cover the stuffed balls with a moist cloth and keep aside for about 15 minutes. Roll out each portion into a thin disc with some dry flour.
- Roast the disc on a griddle on both sides with spoonful of oil. Remove and repeat with the other discs. Serve hot.
- Filling: Heat little oil in a pan; add asafoetida and cumin seeds, sauté for a few seconds.
- Add the green gram paste and the remaining ingredients; sauté till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and is soft.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams refined flour
- 75 grams split green gram, soaked, drained
- 50 ml Cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 75 grams split green gram, soaked, drained and ground to a paste
- A pinch Asafoetida
- Red chilli powder, to taste
- Salt to taste
