Preparation Method :
- The Filling: Heat the ghee in a pan; add all the ingredients and sauté till the mixture leaves the sides of the wok and not sticky. Remove and divide the mixture into 15-20 portions.
- Knead the refined flour with enough water and oil into a soft dough. Divide the dough equally into 15-20 portions.
- Take a portion of the dough, make a hollow in the centre and fill a portion of the green-pea mixture. Fold over the edges to seal the filling inside.
- Repeat till all are done. Cover the stuffed balls with a moist cloth and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Roll out each ball into a thin disc, use dry flour if needed. Roast the disc on a griddle on both sides using little oil. Remove from heat and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 350 grams refined four
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
The Filling
- 450 grams green peas, shelled, ground to a smooth paste
- 50 grams ghee
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- A pinch Soda bicarbonate
- A pinch Asafoetida
- Salt to taste
