PLAIN PARATHA

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Sift the wholewheat flour and salt in a bowl, knead with 2 tablespoon of oil and add the water gradually to a smooth dough.
  • Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions and shape each into balls. Dust each with flour, cover with a damp cloth and keep aside for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Flatten each ball and roll out. Brush with ghee and fold over. Brush the folded surface with oil and fold over again to form a triangle. Roll out the triangle with a rolling pin.
  • Heat a griddle and brush the surface with oil. Place the paratha on the griddle and fry for few minutes.
  • Coat with little oil, turn over and fry the other side till both sides turn crisp and delicately browned.
  • Remove and serve immediately.
