MEXICAN STYLE SQUARE PARATHAS

Preparation Method :

  • Soak the rajma overnight and pressure cook. Grind it to form a coarse paste, keep aside.
  • Pour 2 teaspoon oil in a pan, throw in the onions, garlic and tomatoes, and saute till done.
  • Add the rajma paste, chopped jalapenos, grated cheese, spices and salt, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Make smooth dough with the whole wheat flour and divide into 2 balls.
  • Roll out one ball into a chapathi, place the stuffing in the centre and fold the chapathi on all four sides to form a square.
  • Shallow fry the chapathi with the folded side down, till crisp and done. Turn it over and fry till the other side is done.
  • Repeat with the other ball. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 50 grams whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 pods garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon jalapenos, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons rajma
  • 1 teaspoon grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • Salt to taste
