Preparation Method :
- The Filling: Mix all the ingredients together. Divide the filling into 8-10 equal portions.
- Knead the wholewheat flour with enough cold water and ghee to make a soft dough.
- Divide the dough equally into 8-10 portions. Flatten each out into a small disc.
- Place 1 portion of the filling in the centre of the dough, press the edges to seal and reshape into a ball.
- Roll each ball out into disc, dust with dry flour.
- Heat it a griddle and cook the disc, drizzle a spoonful of ghee and cook till tiny brown spots appear on both sides. Similarly repeat with the other discs.
- Serve hot with yogurt and chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 100 grams Wholewheat flour, sifted
- 2 tablespoon Ghee
The Filling
- 75 grams potatoes, boiled, mashed
- 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, roasted, powdered
- 1 tablespoon green coriander, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Ghee for shallow-frying
